We make our Perfect Lotion for those who are sensitive to fragrance and other synthetic additives. This moisturizer is perfection itself: a luscious, gentle, and utterly unscented body lotion. There are no essential oils, perfumes, or fragrance oils in its preparation, so it smells like itself. It also contains no chemical preservatives, which makes it a truly minimalist approach to body lotion. We left out preservatives for the same reason we keep fragrance out of our products: we want to provide an alternative for those who need a simple, clean approach to skin care.
With its limited ingredient profile, Perfect Lotion is a good solution for almost anyone. Its simple design also makes it a great choice for babies, young children, and the very elderly. The absence of perfumes, fragrance oils, and preservatives makes it a fantastic option for people with allergies or sensitivities, and for anybody with overly sensitive skin.
Karen designed Perfect Lotion around a base of certified organic coconut oil. As a lotion, it delivers a fantastic moisture punch without clogging your pores. In a world of flowery, minty, fruity, sea-side-mountain-mist-scented lotions, this one is popular for simply being a hard-working body moisturizer.
Perfect Lotion glides onto the skin, will absorb quickly, and dries down easily. It is slightly heavier and more emollient than our lighter Summer Sunflower Lotion, and it is ideal for those who live in humid climates. It also works well as a light facial moisturizer.
In all its perfection, however, Perfect Lotion does require one small trade-off. Because it is fragrance-free and free of chemical preservatives, it has a shorter shelf life and is best used within 8 to 9 months. We recommend buying only the amount you will use in that window.
