Karen's Botanicals offers a collection of six luxurious creams designed for various skin types and texture preferences. Whether you're looking for intense hydration for dry, mature skin or a lighter formula for sensitive complexions, our versatile moisturizers work beautifully on both face and body.
Pure, Beneficial Ingredients
Our formulations are crafted with your skin's health in mind. Each cream is rich in nourishing ingredients, including:
• Evening Primrose, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Borage Seed oils
• Sea Buckthorn Oil, and Precious Herbal Extracts
• Vitamin-rich botanical oils
• Aloe Vera
• Cocoa and Shea Butter
These natural emollients are high in Essential Fatty Acids and act as antioxidants to help combat signs of aging and environmental damage. We've formulated a quick-absorbing option specifically for those with oily skin who still want anti-aging benefits.
What We Leave Out
Karen's Botanicals moisturizers are free from parabens, synthetic preservatives, synthetic fragrances, and petroleum-based ingredients. We believe your skin deserves only the purest, most beneficial ingredients nature has to offer.
Understanding Natural Product Shelf Life
Our commitment to natural ingredients means our products have a 12-month shelf life from purchase (unless otherwise noted). We recommend noting your purchase date and using your cream within one year.
Why the shorter shelf life?
Commercial skincare products are formulated to last indefinitely, primarily through long periods of warehouse storage, cross-country shipping, distribution centers, and years on store shelves. This extended longevity requires synthetic preservatives, additives, colorants, and fragrances.
At Karen's Botanicals, we've made a different choice. We work with unprocessed, raw materials sourced directly from nature. While this means our products won't last for years, it ensures you're applying pure, straightforward ingredients to your skin that are free from the chemical additives used to extend shelf life artificially.
This shorter lifespan is simply the trade-off for authenticity and purity. We believe your skin is worth it.

Ingredients
Organic. Every cultivated ingredient we buy carries the USDA Organic seal. Remember: Organic does not mean free of risk. Certified organic ingredients can still cause irritation, allergies, or sensitivities in some people, but buying organic is a healthy beginning. We keep researching natural, organic options, and we stay close to our roots: Karen's Botanicals began with plants and will continue with that original health pledge.
Wild-crafted.
Many of our ingredients are gathered from their natural habitats, and while there is no USDA certification for wild-crafted plants, we only harvest very small amounts at each gathering. We take great care, so the land can sustain itself, and we stay mindful of the native life around every plant we select.
Cruelty-free.
We have never tested our products on animals, and we don't buy ingredients tested on animals or from companies that test them. We simply never started, because it was unthinkable, and our customers held us to that standard.
Packaging
Moving beyond plastic. We're replacing plastic with glass and metal, and it hasn't been easy. For many years we only used American-made containers, because shipping them across the ocean adds to their environmental cost. Finding the right US-made glass has taken time. Glass is durable, reusable, and recyclable, and several of our products have already made a switch. We are moving one item at a time, testing each to make sure it ships safely in glass.
Shipping.
Until a few years ago, we shipped in bubble wrap. Now we cushion orders with paper weave, or with fiber material when paper isn't available.
Small batches
We make our products in small batches and in measured amounts. That keeps waste low and our formulas fresh, and heavy on the herbal material.
What we're still working on
We keep exploring better materials, better suppliers, and fewer disposables, all in the service of a healthy planet and healthy people. We welcome your suggestions.
