Cooling Green Tea Serum is a light, liquid blend of aloe Vera, green tea extract, and precious plant oils. This version is still lightweight but has a more gel-like texture. This product is formulated to cool and soothe inflammatory conditions such as Rosacea or red, irritated skin. It is one of our favorite products and receives high ratings for effectiveness across multiple websites. Our thicker formula works well for any skin type, especially those with sensitive skin. This product absorbs quickly and efficiently into the skin.
This serum is a day or night aid and can be used alone or in combination with other facial care products. The Cooling Green Tea Serum, Thicker Formulation is still fluid, only thicker, and more gel-like. We kept the same extraordinary formula, only adding a bit of natural xanthan gum. Some people like the liquid, and some people prefer the gel.

How You Benefit From Using Cooling Green Tea Serum:
Revered for centuries in Asia, green tea is becoming more than just a super-beverage. It is becoming one of the most treasured ingredients in skincare. Choosing organic green tea ensures you are getting only the best compounds from this natural source without any of the nasty additives that can come from pesticides or artificial ingredients. When green tea is in its organic form, it holds some prized benefits for your skin. Unleash your skin's potential with these five organic green tea skin benefits!
1. Fight the signs of premature aging -- Organic green tea has an abundant antioxidant known as EGCG, which can revive dying skin cells. As it restores, it also protects skin from future damage and nourishes it with vitamin B-2. Vitamin B-2 is especially fascinating since it can help collagen levels. So all around, green tea works to halt visible signs of aging and prevent new ones from taking hold.
2. Provides plenty of moisture -- Another concern for those with aging skin is dryness. Thanks to green tea, you'll get vitamin E, which can nourish and hydrate even the driest skin. With continued use, organic green tea boosts the skin's natural moisture content to prevent dryness and improves skin texture, leaving it smoother and softer.
3. Relieves irritation -- Sensitive or easily irritated skin? You'll love organic green tea in your skincare routine! It's a natural anti-inflammatory with a high polyphenol content. These active ingredients help soothe skin irritation, plus tame redness and swelling. It's gentle enough for skin conditions like Rosacea and psoriasis,s too.
4. Helps clear up acne -- Those polyphenols in organic green tea also benefit your breakouts. In addition to being antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, this ingredient also holds antimicrobial properties. The polyphenols help get sebum production under control to stop the breakout cycle and reveal clearer, smoother, and healthier skin.
5. Repairs UV damage -- With six different types of catechins like EGCG plus polyphenols, green tea is a superstar skincare ingredient that not only protects from future damage but also restores skin health. If you've spent many a day unprotected under the sun, organic green tea is an excellent ingredient to help repair DNA damage caused by those UV rays.

Ingredients
Organic. Every cultivated ingredient we buy carries the USDA Organic seal. Remember: Organic does not mean free of risk. Certified organic ingredients can still cause irritation, allergies, or sensitivities in some people, but buying organic is a healthy beginning. We keep researching natural, organic options, and we stay close to our roots: Karen's Botanicals began with plants and will continue with that original health pledge.
Wild-crafted.
Many of our ingredients are gathered from their natural habitats, and while there is no USDA certification for wild-crafted plants, we only harvest very small amounts at each gathering. We take great care, so the land can sustain itself, and we stay mindful of the native life around every plant we select.
Cruelty-free.
We have never tested our products on animals, and we don't buy ingredients tested on animals or from companies that test them. We simply never started, because it was unthinkable, and our customers held us to that standard.
Packaging
Moving beyond plastic. We're replacing plastic with glass and metal, and it hasn't been easy. For many years we only used American-made containers, because shipping them across the ocean adds to their environmental cost. Finding the right US-made glass has taken time. Glass is durable, reusable, and recyclable, and several of our products have already made a switch. We are moving one item at a time, testing each to make sure it ships safely in glass.
Shipping.
Until a few years ago, we shipped in bubble wrap. Now we cushion orders with paper weave, or with fiber material when paper isn't available.
Small batches
We make our products in small batches and in measured amounts. That keeps waste low and our formulas fresh, and heavy on the herbal material.
What we're still working on
We keep exploring better materials, better suppliers, and fewer disposables, all in the service of a healthy planet and healthy people. We welcome your suggestions.
